Job summary

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a part-time Support Services Attendant to ensure a clean, safe environment and assist with food service and patient transfers. You will handle supplies, perform room set ups, and operate equipment while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

The role requires a Secondary School Diploma and healthcare cleaning or food service experience; a Police Vulnerable Sector Check and a Pre-Employment Health Assessment are required before hire.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma is required.
• Experience in healthcare Environmental Cleaning or Food Services preferred.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to start.
• Pre-Employment Health Assessment required before hire.
• Safe Food Handling Certificate or in-process of obtaining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping, cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and linen distribution; receive, prepare, store and deliver food.
• Transfer patients within the facility and assist with equipment.
• Receive and deliver hospital deliveries to departments and enter items into the electronic supply chain database.
• Maintain supply levels, rotate stock, and update changes as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
