Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a part-time Support Services Attendant to ensure a clean, safe environment and assist with food service and patient transfers. You will handle supplies, perform room set ups, and operate equipment while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
The role requires a Secondary School Diploma and healthcare cleaning or food service experience; a Police Vulnerable Sector Check and a Pre-Employment Health Assessment are required before hire.
One (1) regular part time Support Services Attendant position is available within our Support Services Department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
Responsible for providing a clean and safe environment, performing room set ups, and moving furniture; prepare, assemble, deliver, serve, and store food within the patient care and cafeteria settings; porting patients within the facility and managing supply of transfer equipment; and receiving and the flow of supplies through the facility. Adhering to guidelines and standards set by Ministry of Environment, PIDAC, (Provincial Infections Diseases Advisory Committee), Government of Canada’s Food and Drug Act, and Public Health Ontario.
These positions are unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106.
Physical demands of the job require tasks that involve repeated lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing carts, periodic climbing which include ladders, operation of floor machines and other equipment
According to department schedule including weekends on a rotating basis
SALARY: $24.51 - $25.34 per hour
