Job summary

Thermea Spa Village Whitby is seeking a Part-time Guest Experience Associate to welcome, assist and advise guests on the thermal cycle, and to uphold the high standards of the spa village.

You will participate in weekly site artisan shifts outdoors, ensuring sauna etiquette and guest comfort, while handling payments and maintaining a pristine reception area to deliver a seamless experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year of customer service experience is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software is an asset.
• Knowledge of SpaBooker system is an asset.
• WHMIS certification is an asset.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and associates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm demeanor.
• Good physical condition; able to work outdoors year-round (uniform provided).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs (13.5 kg).

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check-in guests.

• Keep reception areas, lobby, pavilions, common areas and locker rooms clean.
• Ensure guest experience meets brand standards.

• Understand and satisfy guest needs to meet or exceed expectations.
• Maintain guest experience throughout the sauna village and enforce spa etiquette.
• Weekly site artisan shifts outdoors to enforce sauna etiquette and village rules.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Perform other related duties.

What We Need

Reporting to the Manager, Guest Experience, the Guest Experience Associate welcomes, assists and advises guests on the thermal cycle, its benefits, and all available services and experiences while contributing to exceptional guest experiences. The Guest Experience Associate is also responsible for ensuring the up keeping of the premises, in accordance with organizational standards.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and check-in guests;
• Respond to inquiries regarding services and facilities;
• Process various payment methods;
• Maintain adequate par stock of supplies and accessories;
• Maintain cleanliness of the reception area, lobby, entrance hall, pavilions, , common areas and locker rooms;
• Assist guests ensuring the guest experience is impeccable, according to the standards dictated by the brand;
• Participate in service recovery where necessary
• Seek to identify and understand guests needs and strive to satisfy meet or exceed them;
• Maintain guest experience throughout the sauna village, ensuring spa standards are being met;
• Weekly site artisan shifts which involves being outside for the duration of your shift, in any weather, to enforce sauna etiquette and spa village rules;
• Work alongside other departments to ensure a seamless overall guest experience;
• Performs other related duties.

Profile needed

What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

• High School Diploma;
• One (1) year experience in customer service, an asset;
• Basic knowledge of Windows based software, an asset;
• Knowledge of the SpaBooker system, an asset;
• WHMIS Certification; an asset;
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and other associates;
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm demeanor;
• Good physical condition; ability to work outdoor during all months of the year (weather appropriate uniform provided);
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 30lbs (13.5kg).

You will work a varying schedule which requires flexibility to work weekends, holiday, full time position.
