Job summary

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks a creative Early Childhood Educator to lead an Extended Day Program (EDP) for designated elementary schools. The role covers before and/or after-school care for Kindergarten and school-age students, under the direction of the EDP Team Manager.

Requirements include a two-year ECE program, active Ontario ECE registration, and a minimum of one year of child care experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing is required.
• Minimum of one year of child care experience is required.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Immunization records and vaccination declarations are required for hire.
• Police Records Check (VSC) within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead an extended before/after-school program for OCDSB students.
• Collaborate with EDP staff to deliver play-based educational programming.
• Support Junior and Senior Kindergarten and school-age students' development.
