Job summary

Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) seeks an Extended Day Program Support Worker to supervise children aged 4–12 in before and after school programs. You will provide engaging activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development and work closely with families and staff.

Candidates must hold a diploma in Child and Youth Developmental Service Worker or related field, have experience with Kindergarten or School Age children, and possess valid First Aid and CPR.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Kindergarten and/or School Age children.

Job Description:

Under the general direction of Early Learning Services and the program Supervisor, the EDP Support Worker will:

• provide active and engaged supervision to children between the ages of 4-12 yrs in our before and after school programs;
• provide opportunities for children that help to support physical, cognitive, emotional and social development;
• help to nurture and support children and their families;
• Provide support to the EDP program when there is a child/children with identified needs that require additional support.

Required Qualifications:

• a diploma from the Child and Care Youth, Developmental Service Worker, or Recreation & Leisure programs;
• Candidates must have experience working with Kindergarten and/or School Age children;
• valid First Aid and CPR.

Annual (or Hourly) Salary:

The hourly wage is $23.54 per hour.

If you are currently not an OCSB employee, at the completion of a successful interview, you will be required to provide an Original Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector dated within the last 6 months.
