Beem Credit Union in Fort St. John is seeking an Everyday Banking Associate (Part Time) to deliver accurate everyday cash services and tailored advisory conversations.

You will balance high-volume transactions with foundational financial coaching and digital onboarding, contributing to a member-first experience. The role emphasizes relationship building, guidance on digital tools, and proactive fraud prevention within a sales-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business/finance is an asset.
• 1-2 years' experience in customer service, cash handling, or financial services preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a member-first mindset.
• Ability to learn and adapt to digital banking tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day banking needs for members with advisory and service delivery.
• Lead cash-related activities including deposits, withdrawals, foreign exchange, cheque certification, and other teller transactions.
• Maintain strict adherence to cash handling procedures with accurate balancing and proactive fraud detection.
• Support branch opening/closing activities and dual-control cash operations.
• Act as the branch’s primary resource for complex cash-related inquiries.
