Job summary

A leading educational provider in Markham is seeking a part-time English & Math Teacher/Tutor to help students succeed in their studies. The role involves teaching up to three students at a time, utilizing pre-planned lessons. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience in tutoring, and strong communication skills. Training will be provided. This position offers flexible evening and Saturday hours, with a pay rate of $18 - $21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Grade 1 to 12 (or equivalent) level.
• Good knowledge of current Grade 1 to 8 English & Math curriculum.
• Knowledge of Grades 9-12 is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students as an Interactive Coach.
• Ensure a friendly and professional manner at all times.
• Teach online and in-person sessions as required.

Skills

Strong English written and oral communication skills

Strong Math skills

Ability to multitask

Education

Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field

Fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience

Teaching certification
