Job summary

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is seeking a half-time Educational Assistant in ECS. The position supports students’ growth across cognition, communication, physical and social development and works under the guidance of teachers and the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include implementing teacher-directed programming, applying specialist strategies, and assisting with literacy/numeracy and daily routines as needed.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma required.
• Ability to work with students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students' growth in cognition, communication, physical and social development.
• Assist with teacher-directed programming and activities.
• Collaborate with the teacher, CST and multidisciplinary team to support student goals.
• Implement strategies from specialists (OT, PT, SLP, etc.) to achieve targets.
• Assist with literacy and numeracy supports; assist with toileting routines if required.
