Job summary

The YMCA of Three Rivers is seeking a part-time Early Years Educator for School Age (RECE/EYE) in Waterloo Region. The role supports child-centered programming, follows the Playing to Learn curriculum, and provides care from 2:30pm-6:00pm or split shifts.

Immediate start with a September-to-June schedule and competitive starting rates. Qualifications include an ECE Diploma or CECE registration, first aid, immunizations, and ability to work outdoors and in a team.

Qualifications

• ECE diploma and CECE status are required or in process.
• First aid and CPR certifications prior to start date.
• Valid immunizations as per Public Health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and support to children and families.
• Foster positive relationships with children and communicate with families.
• Engage in play and learning to support development.
• Ensure safety and supervision per policies.
• Document child progress and learning experiences.
• Assist with diapering, toileting and basic care needs.
