YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking enthusiastic Early Learning Assistants to support children’s development through play-based learning and meaningful relationships. These part-time roles are based in North Bay/Callander, with a start date as soon as possible.

You will supervise children, plan educational activities, ensure health and safety, and collaborate with families and the team. A First Aid CPR certificate and clean background check are required.

Competenze

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years working with children/youth.
• Current Standard First Aid with Infant & Child CPR (Level C).
• Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Certification in YMCA Playing to Learn and Healthy Child Development is an asset.
• Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months.

Mansioni

• Provide attentive, compassionate supervision to ensure children's health, safety and well-being.
• Keep attendance records and conduct head counts.
• Plan and deliver engaging programming using YMCA curricula (Playing to Learn, A Place to Connect, Zen-er-gy, Healthy Childhood Development).
• Track children’s development and communicate with families and partners.
• Follow YMCA policies and CCEYA and public health and safety guidelines.
