The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking an Assistant Teacher for Minesing to assist with caring for children and delivering play-based learning.

You will follow YMCA curriculum, maintain safety, communicate with families, and adapt activities to meet diverse needs. Part-time schedule offers ~20–25 hours weekly, with earlier start times and flexible routine in a supportive team environment.

Formación

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification OR completion of certification within first 90 days of employment
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
• Up-to-date immunizations or equivalent in accordance with local public health and Child Care Early Years Act

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care to children, including toileting/diaper changing, first aid, medication administration, and monitoring dietary and medical conditions.
• Actively engage with children and maintain supervision and safety in a group setting of up to 15 children independently.
• Plan and implement play-based learning in accordance with YMCA Curriculum.
• Ensure positive, professional communication with families, staff and volunteers on an ongoing basis.
• Provide an inclusive environment, supporting the needs of all children, including those with exceptional behaviours and additional needs.
