The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is hiring a Child Care Supply for casual, as-needed shifts across multiple locations including Barrie and Angus. The role supports healthy, connected communities by providing nurturing environments for children.

In this role you will provide personal care, supervise groups, plan play-based learning, and maintain strong communication with families and staff while supporting inclusive practices and safety.

Formación

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR (Level C) or completion within 90 days.
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Up-to-date immunizations per local public health guidance.
• Availability: multiple weekly shifts with openings or closings.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care, incl. toileting/diaper changes and basic first aid.
• Supervise groups of up to 15 children and ensure safety at all times.
• Plan and implement play-based learning per YMCA curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families, staff and volunteers.
• Provide an inclusive environment, supporting all children.
• Model behaviours aligned with our Mission, Vision and Values.
• Adhere to schedule to maintain ratio; notify supervisor of changes.
• Demonstrate flexibility with routines and assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
