Job summary

YMCA of Southwestern Ontario in Sarnia is hiring Early Childhood Educators, Supply (part-time, one-year contract) at multiple licensed child care locations. Start date as soon as possible and compensation up to $26.00/hour for members (or $22.00/hour for non-members).

You will plan and deliver a child-centered program under the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum (0-6 years), provide compassionate care, ensure safety, and support families and communities through inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children 0-12 years in a work or school placement setting is an asset.
• Pursuing or holding a diploma in Early Childhood Education, or in a related field of study is an asset.
• ECE graduates must be registered (or in process) with CECE and in good standing.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or training within next 3 months.
• Minimum age 18 and able to obtain Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by Public Health and YMCA.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a consistent child-centered program in line with the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum (0-6 year olds).
• Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families.
• Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times; comply with provincial and YMCA policies.
