Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular part-time Donor Centre Nurse to join the Collections team at the Brampton donor centre. The role supports safe blood donation, performs venipuncture, screens donors, and maintains records.

Nurses must have an accredited nursing program and current RN license in the province; First Aid and CPR certification are assets. Shifts vary including days, evenings, weekends.

Qualificações

• Completion of accredited nursing program and current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province is required.
• 2 years of nursing experience is an asset; First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver an exceptional donor experience by conducting registration and confidential screening, ensuring eligibility and fostering trust.
• Educate and empower donors by providing clear information and guidance on blood donations and other ways to support Canada’s Lifeline.
• Provide coaching and consultation to donor centre staff, acting as team lead for collection events as needed.
• Perform venipuncture according to established standards, monitor donors for safety, and provide post-donation care.
• Maintain complete and precise records across multiple systems including screening, collection, storage, and shipping preparation.
• Share knowledge to drive continuous improvement and elevate the donor experience.
