Job summary

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary part-time Donor Centre Nurse for the ON-Orleans donor centre. The role involves collecting blood products, ensuring safety protocols, and delivering an exceptional donor experience.

You will mentor staff, perform phlebotomy, and maintain accurate records while supporting flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires accredited nursing education and an active RN license; experience as a preceptor is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province.
• Experience coaching or precepting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional donor experience with registration and screening.
• Educate donors on blood donations and ways to support Canada’s Lifeline.
• Provide phlebotomy coaching and lead collection events when needed.
• Perform venipuncture, monitor donor safety and provide post-donation care.
• Maintain accurate records across systems for screening and collection.
