Job summary

Canadian Blood Services in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Temporary part-time Registered Nurse (Donor Centre Nurse) to join the Collections team. You will assist in safe blood collection, conduct donor screening, perform venipuncture, provide post-donation care, and ensure accurate documentation across multiple systems.

This role emphasizes delivering an excellent donor experience, coaching staff, and supporting mobile clinics.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited nursing program and current BC RN license.
• 2 years nursing experience is an asset; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Experience as a preceptor or coaching others is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional donor experience via registration, screening, and donor education.
• Perform venipuncture according to standards and monitor donor safety.
• Maintain complete and precise records across screening, collection, and packaging.
• Provide coaching to staff and act as team lead at collection events.
• Support mobile events setup and logistics.
