Diocese of Hamilton (De Mazenod Door Outreach) is seeking a Part-Time Donation Driver to collect and transport donations to the outreach kitchen, assist with grocery shopping, and help maintain adequate food supplies. The role emphasizes safety, community engagement, and reliable service. The position runs Fridays 8:00 a.m.

to 12:00 p.m. with potential extra hours for events or coverage. A valid Ontario G license and ability to lift heavy items are essential, as is a courteous, team-oriented

Competenze

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license.
• Clean and acceptable driver’s abstract.
• Ability to bend, lift, carry, and move boxes, food items, and supplies.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Friendly and respectful manner when interacting with donors, community partners, staff, volunteers, and guests.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

Mansioni

• Drive the De Mazenod Door Outreach van safely and responsibly.
• Pick up donations and ensure they are transported safely to the appropriate location.
• Assist with grocery shopping and purchasing food and supplies as directed.
• Load, unload, organize, and properly store donated food and supplies.
• Bring food supplies to the outdoor BBQ, ensuring appropriate variety and quantities.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with donors, community partners, staff, and volunteers.
• Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and other members of the De Mazenod Door team to support kitchen and food-service needs.
• Follow safe food-handling, transportation, and workplace practices.
• Keep the organization’s vehicle clean, organized, and in good condition, and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Represent De Mazenod Door Outreach positively and professionally within the community.
• Perform other related duties as required to support the organization’s mission.
