Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is hiring a Dishwasher at Shorelines Casino Belleville in eastern Ontario. You will ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen areas and equipment under the Sous Chef, while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for staff.

Evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights may be required based on business needs; training is provided for candidates without prior kitchen experience. Minimum CAD 18.10 per hour appears in the posting.

• Previous kitchen experience is an asset; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operates dishwasher and washes by hand as required to keep dishes clean.
• Ensures cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Reports malfunctions or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.
• Stores clean items in designated areas and maintains sanitation standards.
• Assists with receiving goods and stocking shelves as needed.
• Follows health and safety guidelines and participates in a safe work environment.

Shorelines Casino Belleville is currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a DISHWASHER. Under the supervision of the Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment and utensils including all dishes, glasses and pots/pans while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.

Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Organizes, rinses, sprays, and loads dishes/cutlery into dishwasher or washes by hand as required
• Checks completed load for cleanliness and re-wash if necessary
• Reports any malfunctions, breakage, or discrepancies to the supervisor
• Stores all clean items in the appropriate area
• Sorts and removes garbage and recycling
• Cleans all general kitchen areas including floors, counters, and workspaces
• Assists with the receipt of goods into the work area and stock shelves
• Prepares some food products as requested
• May clean general and common areas in some locations
• Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate The Following Qualifications

• Ability to exceed internal customer expectations through timely, effective, and service oriented communication
• Positive team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous work experience in a kitchen considered as asset but not a requirement, training will be provided
