Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a driven individual to join Shorelines Casino Belleville as a Dishwasher in eastern Ontario. You will maintain cleanliness of dishware, utensils, and kitchen areas under supervision of the Sous Chef, contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, assisting with goods receipt, stocking shelves, and supporting general kitchen tasks.

Qualifications

• Willing to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
• Previous kitchen experience is asset but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher or wash by hand; ensure cleanliness of dishes, glasses, and utensils.
• Check load cleanliness and rewash as needed.
• Assist with receipt of goods and stock shelves.
• Maintain clean kitchen areas and follow health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with operations and other departments.

Job description

Shorelines Casino Belleville is currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a DISHWASHER. Under the supervision of the Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment and utensils including all dishes, glasses and pots/pans while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Organizes, rinses, sprays, and loads dishes/cutlery into dishwasher or washes by hand as required

Checks completed load for cleanliness and re-wash if necessary

Reports any malfunctions, breakage, or discrepancies to the supervisor

Stores all clean items in the appropriate area

Sorts and removes garbage and recycling

Cleans all general kitchen areas including floors, counters, and workspaces

Assists with the receipt of goods into the work area and stock shelves

Prepares some food products as requested

May clean general and common areas in some locations

Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments

Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)

Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

Ability to exceed internal customer expectations through timely, effective, and service oriented communication

Positive team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Previous work experience in a kitchen considered as asset but not a requirement, training will be provided
