Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Server to join our bright dining room in Edmonton. You will support dining room setup, serve meals, and help with cleanup as part of a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional resident experiences.

The role emphasizes safety, resident rights, and ongoing training within a respectful workplace. Prior food service with seniors is preferred, and bilingual ability is a plus. Training and accommodation are offered as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills essential
• Must be able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long periods
• Second language proficiency is a plus
• VPS screening required or willingness to obtain it on hire

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Set and clear dining tables and provide tray service as needed
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining areas after service
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas; support catering and special events
• Participate in orientation and training of new culinary staff and uphold health and safety regulations
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives
