Job summary

RONA in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a warehouse associate to support backstore operations, receive deliveries, and keep shelves stocked with accuracy. You will operate a forklift, manage inventory flow, and coordinate with the team to ensure efficient store operations.

Responsibilities include processing RTVs, scheduling deliveries, and confirming inventory integrity and paperwork. The role demands physical capacity to lift up to 40 lb and adapt to shop floor conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift/power equipment.
• Experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
• Experience in a retail environment dealing with inventory handling and stocking.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds daily without assistance.
• Ability to understand and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
• Ability to perform under difficult work conditions such as in extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, heights, or while being exposed to constant/intermittent sounds.

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory on store shelves (sort and unpack product, operate forklift to transport product to appropriate areas)
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space is available for incoming products
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory received as well as related administrative documents
• Complete Return to Vendor (RTV) duties; communicate with vendors as necessary
• Work with other store teams with regards to merchandise movement and delivery inquiries and concerns
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
