Ever After Custom Homes in Burlington, ON is seeking a Part-Time Construction Labourer / Site Support to keep residential sites clean, organized, and safe. You'll travel between active project sites across Southern Ontario, performing site cleanup, material handling, deliveries, and small handyman tasks.

Ideal candidates are dependable, punctual, able to work independently, with basic hand and power tool experience, and willing to take on a variety of site-support duties.

Qualifications

• Residential construction experience is preferred.

Part-Time Construction Labourer / Site Support

Residential Construction & Renovation Projects

Location: Burlington, ON | Projects throughout Hamilton, the GTA & Southern Ontario

Compensation: $23-$27/hour, depending on experience

Hours: Approximately 20-30 hours per week, with potential to grow into a full-time position

As our project workload continues to grow, we're looking for a dependable, hardworking Part-Time Construction Labourer / Site Support person who can provide reliable support across multiple active construction sites.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly, notices what needs to be done, and is comfortable working independently without constant supervision.

We're less concerned with finding the cheapest labour available and more interested in finding someone dependable who can become a trusted support person across our projects.

The Role

As our Construction Labourer / Site Support, you'll help keep our residential construction sites clean, organized, protected, and ready for the next stage of work.

You'll travel between active project sites as needed, completing a mix of site cleanup, material handling, deliveries, basic labour, minor demolition, temporary protection, and small handyman-type tasks.

Some days may involve preparing a site before trades arrive. Others may involve moving materials, making a dump run, cleaning up exterior areas, helping a trade carry materials, or completing a list of small deficiencies.

You'll often be trusted to work through assigned tasks independently, document what you've completed, and communicate clearly with the project team.

Responsibilities

• Complete general construction site cleanup and organization
• Sweep, vacuum, and prepare work areas before and after trades
• Move, stack, and organize construction materials
• Complete garbage removal and dump runs
• Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and supplies
• Install and maintain temporary floor, wall, and surface protection
• Assist with basic demolition and general construction labour
• Complete minor landscaping and exterior site cleanup
• Clean gravel, mud, debris, sidewalks, driveways, and street areas around active sites
• Set up and maintain tarps, pumps, temporary protection, and weather-control measures
• Assist subcontractors and trades with moving or carrying materials
• Complete simple deficiencies and minor handyman-type tasks within your skill level
• Take photos of completed work and provide updates to the project team
• Follow written task lists and complete assigned work efficiently
• Travel between multiple active residential construction sites as required
• Help maintain Ever After Custom Homes' standards for cleanliness, organization, professionalism, and care

Qualifications

• Previous residential construction experience
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools
• Able to work independently without constant supervision
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take responsibility for assigned tasks
• Strong attention to cleanliness and site organization
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving construction materials
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Comfortable travelling between Burlington, Hamilton, the GTA, and surrounding project locations as required
• Able to follow written instructions and task lists
• Comfortable using a smartphone to receive assignments, take photos, and provide updates
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude around clients, trades, and team members
• Willing to help wherever needed and take on a variety of site-support responsibilities
• A pickup truck is considered an asset, but is not required
