Job summary

Catholic Social Services in Lacombe, AB is seeking a dedicated Community Disability Worker II for a full-time role to provide high-quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities living in the community.

You will assist with daily living activities, participate in social events, and help implement person-centered programs while maintaining dignity and independence; shift work including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma minimum; a Diploma/Degree in Disability Services, Social Work or Human Services is an asset.
• At least 1 year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check, valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities in the community.
• Assist with daily living activities, social events and recreation to promote dignity and independence.
• Implement programs tailored to individual needs and support mental health challenges.
• Engage in shift work, including weekends, as programs operate 24/7.
