Job summary

Conestoga College is seeking a Regular Part-Time Support Staff member for the Silverheights Child and Youth Development Centre in Cambridge. The role supports early learning and care in a lab school setting, aligned with Conestoga’s Early Learning programs.

Responsibilities include health and safety, food service, and program support; childcare and learning support; teamwork; and professional practice. On-site five days a week, with evening classes for the Apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• Current registration in a Child Development Practitioner Program (Apprenticeship) is required.
• Standard First Aid and CPR training required.
• Completion of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• Food Handler certificate is considered an asset.
• Immunization requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Health, safety, food service and program support in the Centre.
• Prepare, serve, and clean up snacks and lunch daily.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitize equipment.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with the Supervisor on significant matters.
