Job summary

Conestoga College School of Business is seeking a Part-Time Educational Assistant for Doon Campus in Kitchener. The role supports students with disabilities, helps with note-taking, equipment setup, and accessing online materials, and works within a collaborative Student Success Services team.

The position requires a two-year diploma in related fields and at least one year of relevant experience. You will work on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm, for 24 hours per week, with a start date

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in Disability Services or related field.
• Minimum one year of practical experience supporting individuals with disabilities, students, or clients in educational or related settings.
• Familiarity with accessibility legislation and inclusive practices is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when supporting students.

Responsibilities

• Provide accommodation support services to students with disabilities (note-taking, scribing, transcribing, reading assistance, research, classroom setup).
• Assist students with equipment, software, and assistive technologies and provide instruction as needed.
• Orient students to campus facilities and accessible resources to promote independence and success.
• Maintain records and documentation with confidentiality and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to coordinate supports and respond promptly to student needs.
• Monitor effectiveness of accommodations and communicate concerns to staff.
