Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support meal setup, service, and cleanup in our long-term care residences across Canada. The role emphasizes patient-centered service to residents, adherence to health and safety standards, and collaboration with the dining team.

Candidates should have a Food Handler's Certificate or be enrolled in a Food Service Worker program, with a preference for experience serving seniors.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Preference for experience in food service with seniors.
• Must possess or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Assist in setup and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining area.
• Support catering and special events; participate in orientation of new dietary staff.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings; uphold Extendicare values.
