Job summary

Canna Cabana Inc. located in Cochrane, AB, is seeking a Part-Time Shift Leader to support daily operations and drive customer service excellence on shift.

You will assist in supervising staff, manage on-shift tasks, and help maintain store standards in a fast-paced retail cannabis environment. Candidates should have SellSafe certification, a high school diploma with college/technical training, and at least 2 years of retail experience.

Qualifications

• Must have valid SellSafe Certification.
• High school completion and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in retail; cannabis industry preferred.
• First Aid certification is considered an asset.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff.
• Skills to monitor and lead by example as required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Health and safety legislation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to store management in daily operations.
• Oversee Store Manager duties in absence of SM/ASM.
• Assist in staffing on shift and resolve customer issues as needed.
• Guide and instruct store associates as required.
• Ensure store conditions meet established standards.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels as needed.
• Be the sales and customer service leader in the absence of SM/ASM.
• Greet and assist customers showing exemplary conduct.
• Uphold company policies and safety regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate when necessary.
• Ensure health, safety and security regulations are followed.
• Aim for sales targets and store KPIs.
• Oversee inventory processes on shift.
