Job summary

River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, BC is seeking a part-time Server 2 for the Buffet to deliver friendly, professional service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. You will greet guests, take orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar, handle payments, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Eligible candidates have prior server or customer service experience, English proficiency, and the ability to stand for long shifts; related certifications

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer any questions regarding food and beverage offerings.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Process payments accurately and manage cash or electronic transactions responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
