Job summary

Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic in Halifax, NS seeks a part-time Communications Coordinator to lead branding, digital presence, media relations and event support. This role collaborates with the CEO and Manager of Business Development, requires a degree in communications or a related field, 2+ years in communications, and bilingual English/French.

Flexible remote work may be considered. The salary range is CAD 27,000–32,000 per year (taxes included) and involves light travel within Atlantic

Qualifications

• A degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing
• At least two years of experience in communications, public/media relations, events or social media management
• Bilingual in English and French

Responsibilities

• Work with the CEO and Manager of Business Development on external communications including media relations and releases
• Source compelling stories
• Support the planning and execution of successful events including logistics, registrations, bookings, budgeting and other tasks as needed
• Lead our digital presence by creating engaging and relevant content
• Design and update website and other online platforms as required
• Lead branding projects
• Create reports, presentations and projects for both internal and external use
