Job summary

Golden Life is hiring an Assisted Living Worker (ALW) for Invermere, BC. This part-time role (0.51 FTE) offers day/evening shifts in a senior care setting with a focus on person-centered care and resident independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, activities, light housekeeping, and documentation. Requires health care registration in good standing, First Aid, and immunization readiness; strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry registration in good standing.
• First Aid certification and Food Safe certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 10 kg.
• Proven computer experience with basic documentation.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check including criminal record screening.
• TB test current and immunization record up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents per individualized service plans.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and requests for assistance.
• Support social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meals as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care protocols.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies.
• Contribute as a reliable, supportive team member.
