Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC) is seeking a proactive Coordinator, Parliamentary and Legislative Affairs. This remote, part-time role (20 hours/week) focuses on Science Meets Parliament, parliamentary engagement, and broader CSPC initiatives with federal and provincial legislatures.

The ideal candidate will build non-partisan relationships, coordinate events, and support communications. With at least five years in parliamentary affairs and a Bachelor’s in a relevant field, you will join

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years in parliamentary or legislative affairs or offices of elected officials/senators.
  • Knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial legislative processes and institutions.
  • Strong stakeholder relations in a non-partisan, non-advocacy environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Science Meets Parliament (SMP) at federal and provincial levels, from planning to follow-up.
  • Prepare invitations, briefing notes, background materials, and speaking notes for engagement with parliamentarians.
  • Manage calendar, scheduling, event logistics, and participant communications for CSPC programs.
  • Develop professional, non-partisan relationships with parliamentarians, staff, and institutional offices across parties.
