Temporary Full-Time Seasonal Opportunities Available

The City of Delta’s Parks Outside Operations team serves the communities of Ladner, North Delta, and Tsawwassen. We are offering exciting opportunities for individuals with a passion for horticulture and/or arboriculture. We are currently seeking reliable, self-motivated, and flexible team players with experience and/or training for a range of labor positions, including:

• Parks Maintenance Workers
• Trades Gardeners
• Equipment Operators (e.g. hand tools, power tools, lawn & turf equipment)
• General Labourers

In these roles, you will be responsible for a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks. You must be able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Strong physical fitness is required as these positions involve heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions. Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills are essential for success in these positions.

Qualifications:

• A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record is required.
• Candidates must submit a current Driver’s Abstract showing a five-year history along with their application. Applications without this document will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed. Please ensure this document is ready for upload when you apply.
• Successful candidates will be selected based on relevant experience and skills. Preference may be given to those with training or certifications in horticulture or arboriculture.
