Job summary

Government of Alberta is seeking a Team Lead for Parks Financial Planning and Analysis in Edmonton. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the Parks Division, guiding a FP&A team and coordinating with regional controllers to support senior leadership.

You will oversee process improvements, financial analyses, and cross-functional collaboration to enable informed decision making within the division.

Qualifications

University degree in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience.
CPA designation is required; working towards designation considered with increased experience.
3-4 years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning and analysis.
Experience providing clear communications and high-quality training materials to various audiences.
Supervisory experience; unionized environment is an asset.
Experience delivering timely, high-quality outcomes in high-volume environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft suite, including advanced Excel and SharePoint Online.
Enterprise-level system experience is required.

Responsibilities

Lead financial planning and analysis work for the Parks Division budget and forecast processes.
Provide executive and management-level reporting and ad hoc analysis.
Oversee FP&A team and collaborate with regional controllers and staff.
Develop tools and templates to improve budgeting and forecasting.
Ensure adherence to policies and support decision-making with robust analyses.
Coordinate with Parks Finance and Operations to balance workloads and capacity.
