Job summary

The University of Alberta is hiring a Parking Compliance Officer to enforce parking and traffic regulations across North Campus Edmonton, South Campus Edmonton, and Campus Saint-Jean. You will assist customers with information, wayfinding, and parking equipment, while supporting day-to-day operations of the parking service.

Qualifications

  • A valid Alberta Class 5 (non-GDL) driver’s license is required;
  • Must be able to provide a recent copy of a three-year driver’s abstract with no more than six (6) demerits and/or two (2) moving violations within the last two years. Expected to complete the U of A driving certification course;
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
  • Related industry experience desirable;
  • Cash handling, customer service experience preferred;
  • Previous exposure to parking technology is preferred.

Location

This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton, South Campus Edmonton, and Campus Saint-Jean.

The responsibility of the Parking Compliance Officer (PCO) is to enforce parking regulations, provide traffic direction, and support day to day operations of parking service delivery. The PCO also is responsible to assist clients in a variety of ways using the highest standards of customer service, including providing information and wayfinding, and assistance in the use of parking equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Enforces Parking and Traffic Regulations by issuing parking violation warnings and citations, as required

This position is subject to all applicable terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the Governors of the University of Alberta and the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA).
