Job summary

The Government of Manitoba is seeking a PK2 Park Works Supervisor 2 in the Rennie District, Eastern Region, Parks and Trails, Rennie MB. Reporting to the Park Work supervisor 3, the incumbent assists in planning, co-ordination, and supervision of maintenance, operation and construction activities for three major campgrounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in building, construction and maintenance of facilities.
• Supervisory experience including providing training, guidance and direction to staff.
• Experience or training in project management including construction estimation, monitoring budgets, purchasing and inventory control.
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize a complex and changing workload.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience inspecting and monitoring the maintenance of water and waste water systems.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications or similar computer applications.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, co-ordination, implementation and supervision of maintenance, operation and construction activities in the Rennie District.
• Involves winter trails, back country, interpretive trails, snowmobile trails, water distribution and waste water collection systems.
