Job summary

The Capital Regional District is seeking a Park Attendant under general supervision to perform a variety of routine janitorial, park facility maintenance and public relations duties. You will work with a team of Park Attendants and Park Maintenance Workers, with some independent judgment for non-routine situations and strong public-facing skills.

This auxiliary position is up to 6 months, paying $30.29 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits, with 80 hours bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Some directly related experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable

Responsibilities

• Perform routine janitorial and park facility maintenance tasks.
• Secure buildings, vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Inform and assist park visitors with directions and regulations.
• Assist in setting up park events and activities.
• Follow WorkSafeBC regulations and CRD policies.
