Job summary

The Capital Regional District (CRD) is seeking a Park Attendant Seasonal for Park Operations. Under the Parks Operations Supervisor, you will perform janitorial tasks, park facility maintenance and public relations duties alongside a team of attendants and maintenance staff.

This auxiliary role is up to 6 months, with a pay rate of $30.29 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits. Hours are 80 bi-weekly, and compliance with WorkSafeBC and CRD policies is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation is required.
• Experience in park operations or public-facing roles is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup of park facilities and grounds.
• Assist in securing park buildings, vehicles and equipment.
• Address hazards and report to supervisor.
• Provide information to visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Educate visitors on park rules and enforce them when needed.
• Assist with special events and volunteer coordination.
• Follow WorkSafeBC regulations and CRD policies.
