Job summary

JobsMedia.io in Canada seeks a skilled operator to coordinate pulping, papermaking, and coating processes. You will monitor equipment, complete production reports, and direct other crew members to adjust operations.

The role requires focus in a noisy environment and a strong safety mindset. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of relevant experience, a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent, and the ability to work English or French.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the role.
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Working languages: English or French.
• Hours: 40 hours per week; night shift.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate use of pulping, papermaking and papercoating process equipment.
• Operate and monitor pulping, papermaking and papercoating process equipment.
• Complete and maintain production reports.
• Control process operations and machinery.
• Direct other operators to adjust pulp production and coating processes.
• Ensure pulp processes operate within prescribed production limits.
• Make paper and coat products from pulp stock; mix chemicals and dyes.
• Observe control room instruments to detect malfunctions.
