Job summary

Waska in New Brunswick is seeking workers for a permanent sawmill role. You will examine logs, trim lumber, and operate saw equipment in a noisy, dusty environment. Prior sawmill experience is valued, and schedules include early mornings, evenings, and potential night shifts.

The position requires 44.5 hours per week, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 23 kg. Safety boots are required, and health benefits with DPSP are provided.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in lumber processing or sawmill preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a noisy, dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate conveyors and move logs to and from saws.
• Set up and adjust saw equipment and replace blades.
