Covenant Health’s Palliative Care unit at St. Michael's Health Centre in Alberta is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 0.68 FTE role within a multidisciplinary team.

The RN assesses, plans, implements treatments, administers medications, and contributes to discharge planning and family education. The position operates under the UNA Collective Agreement, with evening and weekend shifts and a temporary part-time benefits plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program; CRNA registration required.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
• If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of CRNA Medication Administration Certificate and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, care planning, administering medications and evaluating treatments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and educate patients and families.
• Discharge planning and potential charge nurse duties.
• Follow Covenant Health standards and UNA Collective Agreement.
