Job summary

St. Michael’s Health Group in Edmonton, AB, is seeking compassionate Casual RNs to join our Long Term Care Centre at 7404 - 139 Avenue NW.

You will provide high-quality nursing care across day, evening and night shifts, participate in care planning, administer meds, supervise staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support residents’ well-being. Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized School of Nursing.
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certificate in supervisory development/nursing administration/gerontological nursing desirable.
• CPR Heartsaver Plus certification is required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ nursing experience with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with case management (public health, home care) preferred.
• Computer proficiency is preferred.
• Active registration with the CRNA is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and direction to nursing staff and delegate workloads.
• Deliver direct nursing care as required to residents.
• Coordinate team assignments and supervise staff in the unit.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and care planning.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Promote effective communication with residents, families and multidisciplinary team.
