Job summary

ChampionX in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Paintline Operator for a 3‑month contract at our Edmonton manufacturing facility. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a global technology company focused on energy innovation.

You will remove Sucker Rods from the Paintline after painting, perform quality inspections, sort, crate and package material for shipment, assist crane operators, perform minor machine adjustments, and complete required paperwork.

Qualifications

  • Good reading, writing and spoken English for clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Remove Sucker Rods from the Paintline after they have been painted.
  • Perform quality inspections.
  • Sort, crate, and package material for shipment to the customer.
  • Use the strapping gun to band the material.
  • Perform minor machine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Complete all required paperwork (quality and cleaning plans).
  • Assist crane operators with strapping/rigging of crates.
  • Maintain a clean work area and manage paint spillage.
  • Work safely and follow all rules and regulations.
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement guidelines.

What You Will Do
  • Remove Sucker Rods from the Paintline machine after they have been painted
  • Perform quality inspections
  • Sort, crate, and package material to be shipped to the customer
  • Use the strapping gun to band the material together
  • Perform minor machine adjustments and maintenance
  • Complete all associated paperwork, including, but not limited to, quality plans and cleaning plans
  • Assist crane operators with the strapping/rigging of crates
  • Clean working area, including cleaning & controlling any paint spillage
  • Work in a safe manner, follow all rules, regulations, and legislation
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement guidelines

Position Details
  • Working at the Edmonton manufacturing facility
  • 3 month contract term
  • Rotating shift between day and afternoon shift (night shift may be required dependent on business conditions)
  • Weekend or night shift may be required dependent on business conditions
