Job summary

OEM Remanufacturing Company Inc. is seeking a Painter Packager in Edmonton to ensure all production output is properly painted and packaged for delivery. You will prepare, paint, inspect, and securely package items with attention to detail and safety.

This role requires forklift operation ability, English communication, and reliable teamwork. The position follows a fixed Friday–Sunday, 12-hour shift schedule and includes drug/background checks and a medical assessment as part of the hiring

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months in Wage Grade 1 or higher.
  • MS Outlook and Excel experience preferred.
  • Teamwork and strong organizational skills.
  • English communication proficiency.
  • Ability to operate forklift safely.
  • Must pass fit test and wear respirator.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, clean, paint, inspect, and package production output.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met in the painting/packaging process.
  • Work a static weekend shift (Friday–Sunday), 12 hours per day.
  • Will require drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment.

Job Description:

Responsible for preparation, final cleaning, painting, final inspection, and protective packaging of all production output.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher.
  • Relevant & applicable external experience to the position will alternatively be considered.
  • Preference given to those who fall within the value stream & qualify as defined in Schedule C. (internal candidates)
  • Computer skills and knowledge of computer systems (MS Outlook, Excel) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively.
  • Ability to safely operate forklift and other lifting equipment.
  • Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator.
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures.

Note: This posting is for a static weekend shift scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 12 hours per day Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.

Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment.

Hourly Rate: $25.46 - $37.13 / Hour
