Job summary

Bombardier invites applications for Leader, Operations, Manufacturing Paint Shops, Day shift at Marcel-Laurin Plant 1. You will supervise a team of about 25 unionized employees and plan/drive the sector’s production objectives to meet daily targets.

The role requires a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management or related field, with at least five years in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment, strong planning and leadership, and

Qualifications

• Degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management or related field.
• Minimum five years in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to drive results.
• Managerial courage when handling personnel.
• Bilingual ability (English/French).

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
• Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives.
• Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them.
• Report and analyze indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
• Resolve problems efficiently and timely.
• Maintain communication with other departments regarding sector issues.
• Ensure continuous improvement through operational excellence concepts and problem-solving.
• Train employees, evaluate performance and progress.
• Promote teamwork and open communication.
