Job summary

The City of Maple Ridge Fire Department is seeking individuals for the Paid On-Call Firefighter (POC) position. You will serve the Maple Ridge community, respond to calls, and participate in recruit training.

Applicants must be at least 18, legally eligible to work in Canada, hold a valid driver's license, reside in Maple Ridge upon training completion, and have a Grade 12 completion or GED. This role offers a municipal pension plan, wellness program, and opportunities for professional growth;

Minimum Requirements

You must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, holders of a Permanent Resident Card, or Landed Immigrant)
• Hold a valid Driver's license
• Reside within Maple Ridge boundaries upon completion of recruit training
• Have a minimum Grade 12 Completion (or equivalent GED)
