Job summary

Kenvue is recruiting for a Packaging Operator I on the night shift (11pm–7am) on a 12-month fixed-term contract at our Guelph site. You will handle GMP-compliant packaging tasks, maintain equipment, and document line events across the shift.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years packaging experience in regulated settings, SAP proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Join a team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2–4 years of packaging operator experience in a regulated environment is required.
• Experience working in a Pharmaceutical/OTC and/or GMP environment is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuvering of equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleanliness and housekeeping per GMPs.
• Maintain equipment and tools in clean, safe condition.
• Read production schedule and collect input from operators on goods movements and tasks.
• Stage totes and materials as required.
• Manage cleaning for common areas and packaging storage rooms.
• Monitor and record packaging and sanitation documentation.
• Record downtime events and SKU changes in Plant Cockpit system.
• Ensure GMPs, GDPs, and SOPs are followed.
• Participate in team/department meetings and shift communications.
• Complete employee orientation and develop annual goals with Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

What you will do

• Perform appropriate levels of cleanliness and housekeeping standards as outlined, consistent with the requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintains equipment and tools in a clean, safe operating condition.
• Reads the production schedule and collects input from operators to understand goods movements, material requirements and key tasks for the shifts.
• Stage totes and materials as required.
• Manages cleaning requirements for common areas, including packaging storage rooms and clean up rooms.
• Monitor and record all necessary packaging and cleaning/sanitation documentation.
• Accurate and timely recording and tagging of case counts, line events, downtime, and sku changes in the Plant Cockpit system. Department goal of 95% completion of downtime events.
• Has a sound understanding of GMPs and GDPs.
• Able to troubleshoot SAP discrepancies and make adjustments accordingly.
• Maintains an updated and current training record and adheres to training timelines.
• Functions in compliance with all GMP’s, safety requirements and applicable standard operating procedures.
• Participates, with leadership, in team and department meetings. Daily shift communications and communications with Supervisor, Manager.
• Performs other related or assigned duties as required in all assigned areas.
• Completion of employee orientation.
• Responsible for working with Supervisor for yearly development of goals and objectives, performance review, and conflict resolution.
• This is to work night shift- 11pm-7am

Required Qualifications

What we are looking for

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required
• 2-4 years of packaging operator experience in a regulated environment is required
• Experience working in a Pharmaceutical/OTC and/or GMP environment is required
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuvering of equipment is required
• Experience with SAP is required
• Strong computer literacy is required
• Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and manoeuvring of equipment is required

What’s In It For You

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$41.000,00 - $66.470,00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
