Job summary

MAD Elevator Inc. in Mississauga is seeking a Packaging Operator to pack, weigh, label, and load materials for shipment. The role emphasizes quality checks, safe operation, and record-keeping. This is a full-time, hourly position located at 6635 Ordan Drive, Mississauga, ON, with standard shifts.

Hours are Mondays to Thursdays 7:00am–4:30pm and Fridays 7:00am–3:30pm. Pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and basic shop skills, with an emphasis

• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot areas.
• Maintain health and safety and participate in 5S activities.

Responsibilities

• Pack, weigh, and label items for shipment or storage.
• Examine and inspect materials to ensure packaging specifications are met.
• Move completed materials to loading dock and keep records.
• Identify and remove defective material.
• Keep a clean and organized work area and use hand tools as required.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and participate in 5S.

Our New Packaging Operator:

The ideal candidate would be someone who….

• is responsible for packaging, weighing, labelling and loading materials.


• will perform quality checks for defective items and ensure all materials make it to the loading area for inventory, while keeping a detailed record.


• will have “can do attitude” and willingness to learn.

What you will do in the role:

• Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage.


• Examine and inspect materials to ensure packaging specifications are met.


• Move completed materials to loading dock.


• Identify and remove defective material.


• Keep record of all product, packaging, and order information on specified forms.


• Properly use hand tools.


• Maintain a clean work area.


• Other duties as required.


• Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.


• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

What you bring to the role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience


• Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred.


• Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.


• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions


• Strong organizational and time management skills.


• High attention to detail paired with the ability to multitask.


• Medium to highly detail-oriented


• Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)

This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically Mondays to Thursdays from 7:00am to 4:30pm, and Fridays from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Pay: $21.00

This is a Full-time, Hourly position.
