Job summary

MAD Elevator Inc. is seeking an assembler for our Mississauga facility. This full-time, hourly position focuses on assembling elevator fixtures, using CAD schematics, and ensuring quality through precise measurement and inspection.

Hours typically run Monday to Thursday 7:00am–4:30pm and Friday 7:00am–3:30pm, with pay at $20.00 per hour. Candidates should have 1–2 years of assembly experience and be capable of lifting up to 15lbs in a safe factory environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of light assembly experience.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience (custom production).
• Demonstrated dexterity and ability to perform simple to complex assemblies in a fast-paced environment.
• Medium to high attention to detail expected.
• Experience with electrical fixture components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify buttons and components and interpret assembly drawings.
• Assemble products within the specified time frame.
• Use manual hand and power tools efficiently.
• Visually inspect assemblies with measuring devices.
• Identify non-conformances and complete shop records.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and team leader.
• Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.
• Adhere to Health and Safety and participate in 5S activities.

The ideal candidate would be someone who….

• Responsible for the assembly of elevator fixtures including fixture components by referencing related CAD schematics.

What you will do in the role:

• Correctly identify buttons and components and accurately interpret assembly drawings.
• Assemble products within specified period of time.
• Utilize manual hand and power tools efficiently.
• Effectively inspect assemblies visually and with designated measuring devices.
• Identify non-conformances.
• Complete shop records accurately.
• Communicates well with colleagues and team leader.
• Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

What you bring to the role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• 1 – 2 years of experience in light assembly work
• At least 1 year of Manufacturing experience (custom production)
• Demonstrated dexterity and ability to perform simple to complex assemblies in a fast-paced environment
• Medium to highly detail-oriented
• Experience with electrical fixtures component manufacturing preferred

This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically Mondays to Thursdays from 7:00am to 4:30pm, and Fridays from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Pay: $20.00

This is a Full-time, Hourly position.
