Job summary

FedEx Owen Sound is seeking a permanent part-time Package Handler Trainer to load and unload freight, scan and sort packages, and move items within the facility. The role includes training fellow handlers on loading and scanning techniques to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma (or GED), up to 6 months of package handling experience, knowledge of FedEx Canada operations, and a valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• FedEx Canada operations knowledge and Canadian Customs regulations preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Must possess a valid G license and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, scan and sort freight within the facility.
• Transport freight within and between facilities.
• Train other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing and scanning techniques.

Trains other Package Handlers (PHs) on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques in order to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.

• Good interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
