Job summary

FedEx Canada is seeking a Package Handler to load and unload freight, scan and sort freight within the facility, and transport freight within and between facilities. The role also involves training other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.

From the description, the position requires a High School Diploma (or GED), some experience, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and handle packages

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
  • FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
  • Valid G license with a good driving record.

Job description

To load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility. To transport freight within and between facilities. Trains other Package Handlers (PHs) on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques in order to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
  • FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations - (Preferred)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
